Magic Makes the World Go Round
Preperation:
- Beforehand, place a joker on the bottom of the deck.
The Trick:
- Have the spectator pick a card
- Replace it back on top of the deck
- Let the guest cut the deck as many times as they would like
- Look through the cards to find the joker and cut it to the top
Now ask:
- "How many weeks are in a year?"
(There are 52 weeks) In one pile, count 5 cards out loud for the five in 52, and in another pile, count 2 cards out loud for the 2 in 52. Take the two card group and place it on the five card group and put it all on top of the deck.
- "How many months are in a year?"
(There are 12 months) Count 12 cards on the table. Pick that group up and place it on top of the deck.
- "How many days are in a week?"
(There are 7 days in a week) Count seven cards on the table. Put those cards on top the deck.
- "What is your card?"
Turn over the top card and take a bow.
